USEFUL TIPS
Memphis Area Crime: Everyone is talking about it, but what can YOU do? Here are some suggestions:
CANCELED OR CHANGED PHONE SERVICE?
Traditionally, alarm systems have used telephone lines to communicate alarm, status, and test signals. Comcast and other Internet service providers offer telephone service over the Internet with packages such as Comcast Digital Voice. These Internet telephone services will not transmit the alarm signals like a standard analog telephone line. In response to this change, Frase Protection is now offering the latest in alarm technology that uses the Internet to communicate alarm signals. With this technology, the signals reach us nearly instantaneously to provide the fastest response available. Contact us at 755-1800 for more info.
ARM YOUR SYSTEM
While at home OR away. Following a recent break-in, an East Memphis customer wished he had armed his system. If you have a security system, USE IT! Contact our office for technical questions or service.
TEST YOUR SYSTEM REGULARLY
Your FRASE system automatically sends a weekly communication test signal to us. The National Alarm Assn. recommends YOU routinely perform a functional test of your system. Be sure to call the monitoring center BEFORE tripping the siren.
DISPLAY YARD SIGNS / DECALS
Email info@fraseprotection.com or stop by our office for additional or replacement decals or yard signs.
LOCK IT UP
Lock all doors and windows even if away for a short time. Many break-ins happen while away from the home or office for less than 1 hour.
LOVE THY NEIGHBOR
Get to know your neighbors. Join your association. Question activity such as maintenance personnel or even moving vehicles in the neighborhood. Make a plan to watch each other's homes while away. Report suspicious activity to the police.
SHINE A LIGHT
Install motion-activated outdoor lighting. Criminals are like cockroaches: they do not like to be seen. Call your electrician for additional outdoor lighting.
HOLD YOUR TONGUE
Keep your personal info quiet. You may be proud of it, but NO ONE needs to know about your jewelry collection or emergency cash stash.
